Dear Editor ;
I apologize for not making things clear in my letter “designed to fail” Our leaders are making a big mistake by not taking advantage of the great lesson being taught by other leaders, who have failed miserably. Argentina went from one of the wealthiest nations to a bankrupt country that couldn’t pay it’s debts. Hipolito Lrigoyen got elected under the promise of fundamental change. Among the new president’s changes were mandatory pension insurance and health insurance among other rules and regulations. It soon became the states business to run the economy, and the taxes had to be raised
Then Juan Perone got elected President and the size of government exploded to fund massive programs of social spending. And he encouraged labor unions. Peron was driven from office, but the damage was done.
Then Hugo Chaves took Venezuela from being a very wealthy nation to a poverty stricken disaster. You would think that Nicolas Maduro would take a
different path, Evidently he likes to see his fellow citizens suffer.
We elected a man in 2008 who promised to fundamentally change America and he kept his promise. There are too many folks who have no idea what will happen if they get their way. President Obama should go home and tend to his business like President Bush did.
The number one requirement for a high school diploma should be a course in the follies of socialism.
